| The kidney volume measurement technique has been validated through animal studies. The kidneys of Duroc swine were imaged, and the system used to calculate parenchymal volume. The kidneys were then harvested and their true volumes computed and compared to the calculated volumes. The plot below shows this comparison for four swine kidneys. | ||||||||||
